Meaning :
Oh daughter of the mountains, to win over Rudra, the odd-arrowed one (Manmatha, who has five arrows in his quiver), has made your shanks into two quivers, encasing twice the number of arrows.
Over the crests of these quivers, are revealed the ten steel-tipped arrow-heads, in the form of the toe-nails on your two feet; exclusively sharpened on the whetstones which are the crowns of the Devas who prostrate before you.
Pooja Vidhi and Proposed Result
If one chants this verse 1000 times a day, for 12 days, offering Jaggery payasam and honey as prasadam; it is said that one would gain the power to keep an entire army at bay.
