कराणां ते कान्तिं कथय कथयामः कथमुमे ।
कयाचिद्वा साम्यं भजतु कलया हन्त कमलं

Transliteration :
nakhAnAm udyOtai navanalina rAgam vihasatAm
karANAm tE kAntim kathaya kathayAmah katham umE
kayAchid va sAmyam bhajatu kalayA hanta kamalam
yadi krIdallakshmI caraNatala lAksha rasa chaNam
Meaning :
Oh Goddess Uma, only you could tell us, how shall we characterize the splendour of your hands, with the lustre of their fingernails, which tease the redness of freshly blossomed lotus? Perhaps if the lotus petals turn red by coming in contact with the red lac-dye adorning the soles of Lakshmi which play upon it, then resemblance, to some extent, could be possible, though unlikely.
Pooja Vidhi and Proposed Result
If one chants this verse 12000 times a day, for 90 days, offering honey as prasadam; it is said that one would gain command over fairies.
