Soundarya Lahari - Sloka 42 - For attracting everything and water borne diseases

The first 41 stanzas of Soundarya Lahari are considered to be composed by Lord Shiva himself and are called Ananda Lahari. The last 59 stanzas are considered to be the composition of Adi Sankaracharya, and are called as Soundarya Lahari.

Sanskrit Text :

गतैर्माणिक्यत्वं गगनमणिभि: सान्द्रघटितम्
किरीटं ते हैमं हिमगिरिसुते कीर्तयति यः
स नीडे यस्चयाच्छुरणशबलं चन्द्रशकलम्
धनुः शौनासीरं किमिति न निभध्नाति  धिषणाम्

Transliteration :

gatair mANikyatvam gaganamaNibhih sAndraghaTitam
kirITam tE haimam himagirisutE kIrtayati yah
sa nIDE yascchayAcchuraNashabalam candrashakalam
dhanuh shaunasIram kimiti na nibhadhnAti dhiShaNAm

Meaning :

Hey daughter of the ice mountain, He who chooses to describe your golden crown ,bedecked with shining jewels, which are but the transformed form, of the twelve holy suns (Twelve Aditya Devatas corresponding to twelve months of the year - Dhata, Aryama, Mitra, Varuna, Indra, Vivasvan, Tvashtha, Vishnu, Amshuman, Bhaga Pushya, Parjanya [Source : Srimad Bhagavatam 12.11.27-49]) arranged very close to one another; will see the crescent in your crown, in the strangely dazzling light of those jewels, and would assume it to be the  rainbow, which is but the bow of Indra.

Pooja Vidhi and Proposed Result

If one chants this verse 1000 times a day, for 45 days, offering milk and sugar as prasadam, it is said that one would be able to gain the power of attraction and also be free from the effects of water borne diseases.

ரத்ன க்ரீடலன்காரி  நீ அம்பா
ரத்னாதீத ப்ரகாசினீ 

நித்ய செவைக்கி நானா ரத்னமாய்
த்வாதச பானு உதய நிதி மகுட

பதநி தாநி பநிதப மாகஸ மாகம பாபா 
பமபதா தாரீஸா நிதபம ஸரிகமபத 
கரீஸா நித ரிஸாநிதப ஸநிதபம

ஸ்வர்ண  மணி க்ரீடம் சித்ரகாந்தி இலங்க
 கிரீட கோளத்தில் இந்துரேகை துலங்க
வர்ணிக்கும் கவி இந்த்ரவில் எங்க
நிர்ணிக்கும் விசால மகுடம் விளங்க
