Soundarya Lahari - Shloka 43 - For Victory over all

Sanskrit Text :

धुनोतु ध्वान्तं नस्तुलितदलितेन्दीवरवनं
घनस्निग्धश्लक्ष्णं चिकुरनिकुरुम्बं   तव शिवे
यदीयं सौरभ्यं सहजमुपलभ्धुं सुमनसो
वसन्त्यस्मिन्  मन्ये वलमथनवाटीविटपिनाम्

Transliteration :

dhunOtu dhvAntam nastulitadalitEndivaravanam
ghanasnigdhashlakshnam cikuranikurumbam tava shivE
yadiyam saurabhyam sahajamupalabdhum sumanasO
vasantyasmin manyE valamathanavATIviTapinAm

Meaning :

Oh, Goddess , who is the consort of Shiva, let the darkness of our mind be destroyed by the crowning glory on your head, which is of like the forest of opened blue lotus flowers, and which is soft , dense and shines with luster. I believe that the pretty flowers of the Kalpavruksha tree in Indra’s Garden are all forever there to get the natural scent of thine hair.

Pooja Vidhi and Proposed Result

If one chants this verse 1000 times a day, for 45 days; while feeding the poor; it is said that one would become victorious, attractive and free from disease.

சிவையே ஜகதீஸ்வரி சுகந்த கூந்தல் நிகிலேஸ்வரி

சிவே கல்பதரு புஷ்பம்மேல்
சுகந்தம் தர ஜடையிலடைய

மலர்ந்த கரினைதல் வனம் போலும்
மினுமினுத்தே மிக மிருதுவாகி
அலங்கரித்திடும் அழகதிகாந்தி
அடர்ந்த கேசம் புஷ்ப காந்தி

மலர்ந்த மல்லி முல்லை வாக்ஷி
மணந்த ரோஜா தாழம்போடும்
கலந்த வாசம் கன்டு மது
கொன்டு வண்டு கீதம் பாடும்

வாசனை வீசும் கேச பாசத்தை
தாஸன் விசாலக்சி தியானித்தே
ஆசை அஞானந்தகாரம்
அகற்றி அங்கே மெய்ஞானம் தாரும்

பாசபந்தம் நீக்கி காரும் பரம்பொருளின் போதம் தாரும்
நேசமனம் காமதேனுவாக நிற்க நின் தாளில் சேரும்
