Soundarya Lahari - Shloka 44 - For cure from all diseases

Sanskrit Text :

तनोतु क्षेमं नस्तव वदनसौन्दर्यलहरी
परीवाहस्रोतः सरणिरिव सीमन्तसरणिः
वहन्ती सिन्दूरं प्रबलकबरीभारतिमिर
द्विषां बृन्दैः र्बन्दीकृतमिव नवीनार्क किरणम्

Transliteration :

tanOtu kshEmam nastava vadanasaundarya laharI
parivAha sthrOtah saraNiriva sImanthasaraNih
vahantI sindUram prabalakabarIbharathimira
dviShAm brindairbandIkrtam iva navInArka kiraNam

Meaning :

Oh mother; let the line parting thine hairs, which looks like a canal through which the rushing waves of your beauty ebbs, and within which, your vermillion , which is like a rising sun,  is imprisoned from both sides, by your hair which is dark like a platoon of enemy soldiers; protect us and give us peace.

Pooja Vidhi and Proposed Result

If one chants this verse 1000 times a day, for 12 days, offering honey as prasadam; it is said that one would become free from diseases.

சந்திரிகா ஜோதி வதனி
சௌபாக்ய நிலையனி
சுகுமாரி நீ

ஸௌந்தர்ய லஹரி நின் சாரப்ரவாகம்
சுந்தரி வழியிணை ஸௌந்தர்ய கேசங்கள்

அந்தகார அதி கேஷ சிறையில்
வந்தடைந்த பால பானுவின் ஜோதிபோல்
சிந்தூரம் தரித்திடும் சீமந்த சரணி
எந்தாய் விசாலாக்ஷி யோகக்ஷேமம் செய்யும்
