Soundarya Lahari - Shloka 45 - For the power of making your words the truth

Sanskrit Text :

अरालैः स्वाभाव्यात् अलिकलभसश्रीभिः अलकैः
परीतं ते वक्त्रं परिहसति पङ्कैरुहरुचिम्
दरस्मेरे यस्मिन् दशनरुचिकिञ्जल्करुचिरे
सुगन्धौ माध्यन्ति स्मरदहनचक्षुः मधुलिहः

Transliteration :

arAlaih swabhAvyat alikalabhasasrIbhi alakaih
parItam tE vakhtram parihAsati pankhiaruharuchim
darasmErE yasmin dashanaruchikinjalkaruchirE
sugandhau mAdhyanti smaradahanacaksuh madhulihah

Meaning :

 Your hair, which are like golden threads, naturally slightly curled, and shining like young honey bees; surround your golden face. Your face,  which is adorned with a slightly parted smile, showing your teeth which are like tender white jasmine buds, and which are slightly scented; makes fun of the beauty of the lotus; and bewitches the eyes of Lord Siva, who burnt the god of love; just as a blooming lotus attracts bees.

Pooja Vidhi and Proposed Result

If one chants this verse 1000 times a day, for 45 days, offering three sweets (i.e jaggery, honey and candy sugar) as prasadam; it is said that one would gain the power to make one's word become true.

மந்தகாச வதனியே மங்கள பூரணியே
மகிழும் சிவமணியே

இந்துமுக சுந்தரி எழில்மிகும் மின்நெற்றியில்
குந்தள குழல் சுருளல் குடிலதும்பி போலே

புன்முறுவலால் தந்தம் புது முல்லை பூத்தது போல்
மின்னும் சுகந்தம் வீசும் முககமலம் கன்டு
புகழ்ந்திட சிவன் மகிழ்ந்திட
மகிழ்ந்திட முகம் மலர்ந்திட

மதனனை தகித்திட்ட மங்கள சிவ நேத்ரங்கள்
மதுர ரசம் பெருகும் மலர்ந்த வதனம் கன்டு
வண்டுபோல் ஆட கன்டு களித்திட
கன்டு களித்திட உன்டு ரஸித்திட

பதுமத்தின் காந்தியினை பரிகசித்திடும் முகம்
மதனை ஜெயித்தவனை மயக்கும் சௌந்தர்ய முகம்
மாக்ஷியே  அம்புஜாக்ஷியே
அம்புஜாக்ஷியே விசாலக்ஷியே
