Soundarya Lahari - Shloka 46 - For getting blessed with a child

Sanskrit Text :

ललाटं लावन्यध्युतिविमलं आभाति तव यत्
द्वितीयं तन्मन्ये मकुटघटितम् चन्द्रशकलम्
विपर्यासन्यासात् उभयमपि संभूय च मिथः
सुधालेपस्यूतिः परिणमति राकाहिमकरः

Transliteration :

lalATam lAvaNyadhyutivimalam AbhAti tava yat
dvitIyam tanmanyE makuTaghaTitam chandrashakalam
viparyAsanyAsAt ubhayam api sambhUya cha mithah
sudhalEpasyUtih pariNamati rAkA himakarah

Meaning :

Oh mother, I suspect that your forehead, which shines with the beauty of the moon, is but a half moon, imprisoned by your glorious crown. For if joined together to the inverted half moon in your crown, it would give out the nectar like luster of the moon on a full moon day.

Pooja Vidhi and Proposed Result

If one chants this verse 1000 times a day, for 45 days, offering honey, milk and payasam as prasadam; it is said that one would be blessed with a child.

லளிதா நெற்றியே லாவண்ய ஜோதியின்
தளதள காந்தி சந்திரனை போலே

லலாட சந்திரன் ஊர்த்துவ முகமாகி
லலின க்ரீடார்த இந்து கீழ் முகமாய்

மாற்றிவைத்தம்ருதம் பூசி நன்றமைத்து
பூர்ண மாமதியாய் பிரகாசிக்கும்
சேரும் க்ரீடமும் சந்திரன் போல் நெற்றியும்
காருண்ய ப்ரகாசி காசி விசாலாக்ஷி
