Soundaraya Lahari - Sloka 38 - For cure of pediatric ailments

Sanskrit Text :

समुन्मीलत् संवित्  कमलमकरन्दैकरसिकम्
भजे हंसद्वन्द्वं किमपि महतां मानसचरम्
यदालापा  अष्टादशगुणितविद्यापरिणतिः
यदादत्ते दोषात् गुणमखिलम् अद्भयः पय इव

Transliteration :

samunmIlat samvitkamala makarandaika rasikam
bhajE hamsadvandam kimapi mahatAm mAnasacaram
yadAlApA aShTAdasha guNita vidyApariNatih
yadAdattE dOShAt guNamakhilam adbhayah paya iva

Meaning :

I pray before the swan couple, who only enjoy the nectar from the fully open Lotus flowers of knowledge. They swim in the lake, which is the mind of great ones and are not describable by mere words. From them come the eighteen arts, and they differentiate the good from the bad,  just the Annapakshi separates milk from water.

The eighteen arts mentioned in the above text include :

• The four vedas - Rig, Yajur, Sama and Artharvana
• The six vedangas - Siksha (Science of articulation and pronunciation), Kalpam (Researching ability), Vyakaranam (Grammer), Nrittam (Dance and Drama), Chandas (Metrical Science), Jyotishyam (Astrology)
• Dharmashastra (Religious and Social Law)
• Purana (History)
• Mimamsa(Philosophy) 
• Nyaya(Justice/Law)
• Maya Vidya (Sorcery), 
• Sri Vidya (Exalted Science), 
• Apara Vidya (Knowledge about the material world)
• Paraavidya (Knowledge of the imperishable)

Pooja Vidhi and Proposed Result

If one chants this verse 5000 times a day for 45 days, offering any prasadam of your choice, it is said that usual pediatric ailments would be cured.

ஞான பிரஸன்னாம்பிகே  கான லோல ஹம்ச தம்பதி

ஞான போத மகான்கள் மன மானஸ சரஸினிலே
ஞான ஹம்ஸ தம்பதியாய் சஞ்சரித்துல்லாசமாய் களிக்கும்

ஞான ரூப தாமரையில் ப்ராண ரூப மகரந்தத்தில்
தேங்கள் ஊரும் ரசத்திலே ஆனதாம்ருதத்திலே ரசிக்கும்

க்ஷீர தீர்த்தம் சேர்ந்து நிற்க க்ஷீரத்தை அன்னம் கிரஹிப்பது போல்
கூரும்  தோஷம் நீக்கி கோரும் குனாம்ருதத்தை கூட்டி சேர்க்கும்

அஷ்டதச  சங்கையுள்ள வித்தைகள் உற்பத்தியதை
இஷ்ட தம்பதிகள் சேர்ந்து பக்ஷமாக தோஷம் நீக்க

பரமஹம்ஸ  தம்பதியின் மஹிமை சொல்லபோமோ  ஜெய
கருணாஹம்ஸ ரூபிணியே காட்சி விசாலாக்ஷி பஜிக்க
