Soundarya Lahari - Sloka 37 - For removal of demonic influence

Sanskrit Text :

विशुद्धौ ते शुद्धस्फतिक विशदं व्योम-जनकं

शिवं सेवे देवीमपि शिवसमान-व्यवसिताम् 
ययोः कान्त्या यान्त्याः शशिकिरण सारूप्यसरणेः 
विधूतान्तर्ध्वान्ता विलसति चकोरीव जगती 


Transliteration :

vishuddhou tE shuddha sphaTika vishadam vyOma janakam
shivam sEvE dEvImapi shiva samAna vyavasitAm
yayOh kAntyA shashi kiraNa sArUpya saraNE
vidhU tAntardvAntA vilasati cakOrIva jagatI

Meaning :

I bow before the Shiva , who  is of the pure crystal form in thine supremely pure wheel, and who creates the element of ether, and to you my mother, who has same stream of thought as Him. I bow before you both,
whose moon like light, forever removes the darkness of ignorance, forever from the mind, and which shines like the Chakora bird playing in the full moon light.                

Pooja Vidhi and Proposed Result

If one chants this verse 5000 times a day for 45 days, offering payasam, banana, coconut and medu vada as prasadam, it is said that one would get free from the influence of bramharakshasa, bhoota-preta troubles.

திருபுர சுந்தரி சிவகாம சௌந்தரி
கருணா விசுத்தியில் கமல ஷோடஸ்ரீ

அருகினில் சாதகன் விரும்பியே பூஜிக்க
பெருகும் ஸ்படிக ஒளி ஜோதி

சுத்த ஸ்படிக ஒளி நிர்மல ஆகாச
தத்வம் நிலைக்கும் மஹா தாவள்ய ப்ரகாசி
நித்ய பூரணமான நிலாகலை சந்திரிகா
சிவசக்தி ஸ்வரூபமே த்ரைலோக்யம் ஒளிவீச

சந்திர ப்ரகாசத்தின் அம்ரித பிரவாகத்தை
சந்துஷ்டியாகானும் சகோர பக்ஷிபோல்
அந்தகாரகியானம் அகற்றி ஒளிர்ஞான
சந்ததானந்தா பெருக்கே சிவசக்தி விசாலாக்ஷி
