Soundarya Lahari - Sloka 14 - Freedom from poverty

Sanskrit Text :

क्षितौ षट्पञ्चाशद्विसमधिक पञ्चाशदुदके
हुताशे द्वाषिष्टिश्चतुरधिक पञ्चाशदनिले
दिविद्विः षट् त्रिंशन् मनसि च चतु:षष्टिरिति ये
मयूखा स्तेषामप्युपरि तव पादाम्बुजयुगं


Transliteration :

kshitau ShaTpanchAshad dvisamadhika panchAshadudakE
hutAshE dvAShiShTishcaturadhika panchAsadanilE
dividvih ShaTtrimshan manasi ca catuh ShaShTir iti yE
mayUkhA stEShAmapyupari tava pAdAmbuja yugam

Meaning :

[O Mother Goddess,] your two lotus feet, which are at the centre of the thousand rayed bramhananda chakram lie far above, the fifty six rays of the essence of earth of Mooladhara, the fifty two rays of the essence of water of Mani pooraka, the sixty two rays of the essence of fire of Swadhishtana, the fifty four rays of the essence of air of Anahatha, the seventy two rays of the essence of ether of Visuddhi and the sixty four rays of the essence of mind of Agna chakra.

Pooja Vidhi and Proposed Result

If one chants this verse 1000 times a day for 45 days, offering milk or payasam as prasadam, it is said that one would get free of poverty.

Tamil Interpretation

தேவிபகவதியின் ஜோதி பாதமகிமை 

பாவப்ரகாசச்சுடர் வடிவாமே 

தேவி திருதேஜஸ்ஸுடன் ஸ்ரீ சக்ர நடுவினில்

பாவை பாதம் நூற்றி எட்டு அக்கிநிகிரணொளியே

ப்ருதிவிதத்வ மூலாதாரச்சக்ரத்தினிலே

ஐம்பத்தாறு கிரணங்கள் ஒளிவீசவே

உதகத்தவமான மணிபூரக ஸ்தானமதில்

ஐபத்திரண்டு கிரணங்கள் ஒளிவீசவே 

அறுபத்திரண்டு கிரணங்களும் அக்னி தத்வ ஸ்வாதிஷ்டானம் ஒளிவீசவே

வாயுதத்வ அனாகத சாகரத்தில் ஐம்பத்திநாலு கிரணங்கள் ஒளிவீசவே 

ஆகாசதத்துவமான விஷுத்தியில்

எழுபத்திரண்டு சக்ரங்களும் 

மனதத்துவமான ஆஞ்ஞா சக்ரத்தினில் 

அறுபத்திநான்கு கிரணங்களும்

ஆகானந்த கொடிகிரண ஆனந்த பாதத்தில்

 சிலகிரணத்தை அடைத்து 

ஏக ஒளிப்ரகாசமாய் சந்த்ராதித்தனக்னியும்

சகலஜகம் பிரகாசிக்க சமர்த்தறாகுரார்

மூலாதார ஸ்வாதிஷ்டான சக்ரத்தினிலே 

அக்னிகண்டம் ருத்ரக்ரந்தியாக விளங்க  

மணிபூர அனாகத சக்ரத்தினிலே  

சூர்யகண்டம் விஷ்ணுக்ரந்தியாக விளங்க

சீலமுள்ள சந்திரகண்டம் விஷுத்தி அஞ்ஞா சகரமே 

பிரம்மக்ரந்தியாக விளங்க 

ஜாலபாத மகிமையால் ஸ்ருஷ்ட்டி ஸ்திதி லயங்களும் 

கோலத்தாமரை தளத்தில் 

விசாலாக்ஷி தொழவே
