Soundarya Lahari - Sloka 09 - For Return of Lost Ones

Sanskrit Text :

महीं मूलाधारे कमपि मणिपूरे हुतवहं
स्थितं स्वाधिष्टाने  हृदि मरुतमाकाशमुपरि
मनोऽपि भ्रूमध्ये सकलमपि भित्वा कुलपथं
सहस्रारे पद्मे सहरहसि पत्या विहरसे

Transliteration :

mahIm mUlAdhArE kamapi maNipUrE hutavaham
sthitam svAdhishTAnE hrudi marutamAkAshamupari
manOpi bhrUmadhyE sakalamapi bhitvA kulapatham
sahasrAre padmE saha rahasi patyA viharasE

Meaning :

Oh Goddess mine, You live in seclusion with your consort, In the lotus with thousand petals (called the Sahasrara Chakra), Reached after breaking through the microscopic routes, Of the power of earth in Mooladhara chakra, Of the power of water of Manipooraka chakra, Of the power of fire of Swadhishtana chakra, Of the power of air in the Anaahata chakra at the heart, Of the power of ether in Vishuddhi chakra, And of the power of mind in Aagna chakra which is between the eyebrows

If one chants this verse 1000 times each day, for 45 days, it is said that the result would be the return of long lost people.

சந்த்ரகலா சக்தியே ஸஹஸ்ர தள நிதியே

மந்தகாச வதனி மங்கள ஸ்வரூபிணி
சுந்தரி சுஷ்ம்மமார்க்க சடாதரி
அந்தரி குண்டலி அமிர்த பயோதரி

மூலாதார ஸ்வாதிஷ்டான மணிபூரனாகத விசுத்தி
ஆஞ்ஞா கோல சக்ரம் தன்னில் நீலகண்டருடன் விளங்கும்
கோமளாங்க குலமாமணியே குருபரனாக ஒளிதரும் அணியே

ப்ருதிவி மனோமாயா சுத்த வித்யா தத்வம்
மஹேச்வர தத்வம் சதாசிவ தத்வம் எனும் நான்கு
தத்வங்களையும் தாண்டி ஸஹஸ்ரத்தின்மேலே
தருமத்தின் பொழிலே தவத்தினோர் எழிலே

சந்திரமண்டலம் தன்னில்   ஸஹஸ்ரதளகமலத்தில்
குந்தல மனோன்மணி கூடியே சதாசிவன்
விந்தையாய் க்ரீடிக்கும் விஜயவிசாலினி
வேதவிலாஸினி விவிதவினோதினி
