Sometimes one comes across something very beautiful, quite by chance. This song is one such beauty. It is a father speaking to his kid, pouring out his heart, assuring that "Dad would always be there for you". When you think about it, fathers are seldom very expressive with their love. But, there is no doubt that fathers would move mountains for their kids. And at the same time, a father's contribution in raising a kid, in building the kid's life is rarely acknowledged properly. 

This song expresses how a father forms the bedrock on which every kid's life is built. The bedrock, that is never seen above the ground. Isn't it strangely coincidental that the general perception of a father is a person who is tough as a bedrock?

The song is the title song of the Malayalam movie Anveshanam, released in 2020.

English Translation :

Tender Flower, you are my world, always. Unwithered you are, within me. Protecting you, from the summer each day, didn't Dad stand as a shade for you?

Grow up gradually, in front of my eyes. Rise up slowly from my lap, to climb on to my shoulders. When far away paths seemed obscure, didn't Dad become eyes to guide you?

Be it hot summer, be it pouring rain, for my lifetime, you have my finger to hold. Whether you run a thorn, whether your tender heart is in pain; Dad is there for you when you cry.
