Sanskrit Text :
पवित्रीकर्तुं नः पशुपतिपराधीनहृदये
दयामित्रैर्नेत्रैररुणधवलश्यामरुचिभिः
नादः शोणो गङ्गा तपनतनयेति ध्रुवममुं
त्रयाणां तीर्थानामुपनयसि संभेदमनघम्
Transliteration :
pavitrIkartum nah pashupatiparAdhInahridayE
dayAmaitrair nEtrair aruNa dhavala syAma ruchibhih
nAdah shONO gangA tapanatanayEti dhruvamamum
trayANAm tIrthAnAmupanayasi sambhEdamanagham
Meaning :
She who has a heart owned by Pasupathi, Your eyes which are the companions of mercy, and are coloured red, white and black; resemble the holy rivers, Sonabhadra which is red, Ganga which is white, and Yamuna (the daughter of Sun, Tapana-Tanaya), which is black. We are certain and sure, that it is you who made this meet and join, and cause the confluence of these holy rivers which remove all sins of the world.
Pooja Vidhi and Proposed Result
If one chants this verse 1000 times a day, for 45 days, offering jaggery payasam as prasadam; it is said that one would be cured of venereal diseases.
