Soundarya Lahari - Sloka 22 - For Conquering Kingdoms

Sanskrit Text :

भवानि त्वं दासे मयि वितर दृष्टि सकरुणां
इति स्तोतुं वाञ्छन्  कथयति भवानि त्वं इति यः
तदैव त्वं तस्मै दिशसि निजसायुज्यपदवीं
मुकुन्द ब्रह्मेन्द्र स्फुटमकुट  नीराजितपदां

Transliteration :

bhavani tvam dAse mayi vitara drushTim sakaruNAm
iti stOtum vAnchan kathayati bhavAni tvam iti yah
tadaiva tvam tasmai dishasi nija sAyujyapadavIm
mukunda brahmEndra sphuTamakuTa nIrajitapadAm

Meaning :

O Consort of Lord Shiva, he who even wishes in his mind "O Bhavani, please shower your grace upon this  servant of yours", even before he utters the words "O Bhavani", you would give him an eternal place by your lotus feet, which are brightened by the crowns of Vishnu, Brahma and Indira which they place at your feet while offering Arati to your feet.  

Pooja Vidhi and Proposed Result

If one chants this verse1000 times each day for 45 days, offering variety rice as prasadam, it is said that one would be able to conquer kingdoms.

Tamil Interpretation

தாயே பவானி தீனதாஸனான என்பால் 
தையோடு கருணைபுரிவாய் தனயன்மீது

தாயே பவானி த்வம் என்று உச்சரித்திடும்
தூயதாஸன் விரும்பி த்யானிக்க அருள் தரும்

பவானித்வம் என்ற வாக்ய பதார்த்தத்தை
தத்வமஸி மகா பாவனைசெர்த்ததை
தவமுடைசாதகன் தானிக்கும் நேரத்தே
பவபயம் நீக்க சௌபாக்யத்தை தந்திடும்

உகந்தொருதரம் தாஸன் உச்சரிக்கருள் நாடும்
முகுந்தப்ரும்மேந்திர மகுடமணிக்ரீடம்
மிக ஒழி நிராஞ்சித பாதமுழுதும் சாடும்
அகிலவிசாலபாதம் ஆத்மஸாயுஜயம் கூடும்
