Soundarya Lahari - Sloka 20 - For cure of poisons and fever

Sanskrit Text :

किरन्तीमङ्गेभ्यः  किरण निकुरुम्बामृतरसं
हृदि त्वामाधत्ते हिमकर शिलामूर्तिमिव यः
स सर्पाणां दर्पं शमयति शकुन्ताधिप इव
ज्वरपृष्टान् दृष्ट्या सुखयति सुधाधारा सिरया

Transliteration :

kirantIm angEbhyah kiraNa nikurumbAmrutarasam
hrudi tvAmAdhattE himakara shilAmUrtimiva yah
sa sarpANAm darpam shamayati shakuntAdhipa iva
jvara prusTAn druShTyA sukhayati sudhAdhArA sirayA

Meaning :

[O Mother,] the devotee who meditates on you in his mind in your form which is as pure as a statue made of moonstone and showering radiance from all your limbs, will have the power to put an end to the pride of snakes as the King of birds, Garuda does. He would be able to offer relief to those suffering from illness, just by the nectar of your grace in his vision.


Pooja Vidhi and Proposed Result

If one chants this versea 1000 times each day for 25 days, offering milk payasam as prasadam, it is said that one would be cured of all poisons, viral fever and ill-effects of evil eyes.

தாயே அமிர்த ரஸதாரிணி அம்பா
தயாமிருதப்ரவாகினி  ஸகலரோக நிவாரணி

தாயே சந்திரகாந்த சிலைபோலே
நளின விக்ரக சுகுமாரி மனோஹரி
துதிக்கும் பக்தனுக்கு அருள்செய்யும் சரணி

ஆடும் பன்னகைவிஷம் வேகம்கண்டு
சாடும் கருடன்போல் நாசம் செய்வான்
வாடும் ஜ்வரபீடையால் தவிக்கும்
ஓடும் அமிர்த கடாக்ஷத்தால் விலகிடும்
பாடும் விசாலாக்ஷி பாக்யம் பெருகிடும்
