Soundarya Lahari - Sloka 18 - For Victory in Love

Sanskrit Text :

तनुच्छायाभिस्ते तरुण तरणि श्रीसरणिभिः 
दिवं सर्वां मुर्वीं अरुणिमनिमग्नां  स्मरति यः
भवन्त्यस्य त्रस्यद्वनहरिण शालीन नयनाः
सहोर्वश्या वश्याः कतिकति न गीर्वाण गणिकाः

Transliteration :

tanucchAyAbhistE taruNa taraNi shrIsariNibhih
divam sarvA murvI aruNimani magnAm smarati yah
bhavantasya trasyadvanahariNa shAlIna nayanAh
sahOrvashyA vashyAh katikati na gIrvANa gaNikAh

Meaning :

[O divine Mother,] the one who meditates on your radiant beauty which immerses all the worlds and the skies with its redness like that of the young sun of the dawn, will have doe eyed celestial damsels like Urvashi follow him like slaves.

Pooja Vidhi and Proposed Result

If one chants this verse1000 times a day for 45 days, offering payasam, milk and betel leaves as prasadam, then it is said that they would be victorious in love and expertise in exotic arts.

பகவதி பராசக்தி அம்பா
பாலசூர்யகாந்தி பரவிடும் சாந்தி

அக இருள் நீக்கிடும் ஆதி தேஜஸழகி
ஸகல பூமி ஆகாசம் சௌந்தர்யவடிவழகி


சூரநதி சம்பஞ்சீர் ஸாகரம் முழுகிய
சௌந்தர்ய காந்தியை தானிக்கும் கர்த்தாவுக்கு
மிரண்டு விழிக்கும் காட்டு மானினம் கண்கள்போல
மருளும் மனோகரஸ்திரி ரம்பை ஊர்வசிமுதல்

ஒப்பில்லாமணியென   உபாசனையால் ஒளிரும்
உத்தமரைக்கண்டு ஓடிடும் பார்மகளும்
அப்சரஸ்திரிகளுடன் அழகியமாதர்களும்
அம்பிகே விசாலாக்ஷி அருளினால் வச்யமாவர்
