Our Size and 'In'-Significance

From the perspective of a human, ants are very small and the blue whale is a very large creature. But, everyone knows that all the living things that we know of are all on earth. Hence, one can come to the logical conclusion that the earth is huge. Right?

For all the people who learnt about the planets of the solar system, it is clear that earth is not even the largest of the planets and the sun is larger than all the planets combined. Yet, the scale at which these heavenly bodies differ and the 'tininess' of the sun is not evident at all to us.
