Soundarya Lahari - Sloka 35 - Cure for Tuberculosis

Sanskrit Text :

मनस्त्वं व्योम त्वं मरुदसि मरुत्सारथिरसि 

तवामापस्त्वं भूमिस्त्वयि परिणतायां न हि परम् 

त्वमेव स्वात्मानं परिण्मयितुं  विश्व वपुषा 

चिदानन्दाकारं शिवयुवति भावेन बिभृषे 

Transliteration :


manas tvam vyOma tvam marudasi marutsArathirasi
tvamApastvam bhUmistvayi pariNatAyAm na hi param
tvamEva svAtmAnam pariNmayithum vishva vapuShA
cidAnandAkaram shivayuvati bhAvEna bibhruShE


Meaning :

You are the mind, you are ether (or skies), you are air and you are fire too. You are water, you are earth and you are the entire universe. There is nothing other than you (the pure consciousness) in the universe. However, you make believe by appearing as the consort of Shiva, the embodiment of happiness.


Oh ! kundalini sakti devi! You are acting as the mind in the aajnaa cakra;
You are acting as the ether in the visuddhi cakra;
You are acting as the air in the anaahata cakra;
You are acting as the water in the manipooraka cakra;
You are acting as the fire in the swaadhisthaana cakra;
You are acting as the earth in the moolaadhaara cakra;


Pooja Vidhi and Proposed Result

If one chants this verse 1000 times a day for 45 days, offering sugar, honey and payasam as prasadam, it is said that one would get cured of tuberculosis.

குண்டலினி சக்தியே குஞ்சரஜனனியே 

அண்டஜனனி  ஆக்ஞா  சக்ரத்தினில் 

அமையும் மனத்தவம் நீரே 

விண்ணவர் போற்றிடும் விசுத்தியில் ஆகாசம் 

விளங்கும் தத்வமும் நீரே 

ஸம்வித் கமலத்தில் அனாகதம்தனில் 

சாரும் மருததத்வம் நீரே

அம்பிகை ஸ்வாதிஷ்ட்டான சக்ரத்தினில் அக்னி 

தத்வமாவதும் நீரே 

மணிபூரகம்தனில் அப்புதத்வம் நீரே 

மூலாதாரப்ருதிவி தத்வமும் நீரே 

அணித்தவ தாதாத்மியத்தை அடைந்தவளே அம்பே 

உம்மைத்  தவிர வேறில்லை தத்வமெல்லாம் நீரே 

காரனரூபமான காரியப்ரபஞ்சம் 

கலந்திடு சிவசக்தி ரூபமதாலே 

பூரணகர்த்தாவிற்கு ப்ரதானாத் மிகையானவளே 

புதழ்ந்திடும் விசாலாக்ஷி
