Soundarya Lahari - Sloka 26 - To get rid of enemies

Sanskrit Text :

विरिञ्चिः पञ्चत्वं  व्रजति हरिराप्नोति विरतिं
विनाशं कीनाशः भजति धनदो याति निधनं
वितन्द्री माहेन्द्री विततिरंपि संमीलित  दृशा
महासंहारेऽस्मिन् विहरति सति त्वत्पतिरसौ

Transliteration :

virincih pancatvam vrajati harirApnOti viratim
vinAsham kInAshah bhajati dhanadO yAti nighanam
vitandrI mahEndrI vitatirapi sammIlita drushA
mahAsamhArE asmin viharati sati tvatpatirasau

Meaning :

Brahma eventually comes to the end of his life; Vishnu also meets his end eventually; Yama, the lord of death   is destroyed; Kubera, the lord of wealth is also destroyed; Indra and his courtiers (who are not subject to fatigue or sleepiness) also finally close their eyes. O! the most chaste one, even during the great deluge that destroys everyone and everything, you are in the bliss-ed company of your consort, Sadashiva.


Pooja Vidhi and Proposed Result

If one chants this verse1000 times on each new moon day for six months, offering chakkarai-pongal as prasadam, it is said that one would be able to get rid of enemies.

ஆதிச்சதா சிவானுகூலி ஆதரி பதிவ்ருதசீலி

ஜோதி ஸகஸ்ர  தள லீலா மாலி சிவனுடன்
சுகிக்கும் பரிபாலி

ப்ரளயத்தில் இந்திரன் மகேந்திரன் 

புனித தேவர் யமன் குபேரன் 

பிரம்ம விஷ்ணு முதல் யாரும் யாதும் 

முழுதிலும் நசிந்திடும் போதும் 

பிரம்மாண்ட பிரளயத்தில் சாக்ஷி 

பதிவ்ருதா மகிமை காமாக்ஷி 

சரச்சமாய் சதாசிவன் தேவி காக்ஷி

ஸகஸ்ரத்தில்  கிரீடிக்கும் விசாலாக்ஷி
