Soundarya Lahari - Sloka 25 - To get power

Sanskrit Text :

त्रयाणां देवानां त्रिगुणजनितानां  तव शिवे

भवेत्पूजा पूजा तव चरणयोर्या विरचिता

तथाहि त्वत्पादोद्वहन मणिपीठस्य निकटे 

स्थिता ह्येते शश्वन्मुकुलितकरोत्तंस  मकुटाः

Transliteration :


trayANAm dEvAnAm triguNajanitAnAm tava shivE
bhavEt pUjA pUjA tava carNnayOryA viracitA
tathAhi tvatpAdOdvahana maNipIThasya nikaTE
sthitA hyEtE shashvanmukulita karottamsa makuTAh


Meaning :

[O consort of Siva,] Isn't the pooja performed to the three elements (i.e., Brahma, Vishnu and Rudra) which emerged as the embodiment of the three tendencies (i.e., satva, rajas and tamas gunas) of Maya,  equal to the pooja performed to your feet? The three (Brahma, Vishnu and Rudra) are anyway forever present, with their folded hands held above their bejeweled crowns, standing near the bejeweled pedestal that bears your feet. 


Pooja Vidhi and Proposed Result

If one chants this verse 1000 times each day for 45 days, offering honey as prasadam, it is said that one would be able to hold positions of power.

சிவையே திருகுண சொரூபதிருமூர்த்தி 

செய்யும் உமதுதிரு சரண பூஜா பெருமை

நவரத்னம் இழைத்திட நளினபீட மத்தியில்
புவனேஸ்வரி பாதத்தை புனிதமாய் பூஜித்திட

திருமூர்த்திகளுமது திருவடிபீடத்தின்கீழ்
க்ரீடகரகமலா அஞ்சலி அஸ்த்தராய்
சரணபூஜாபலத்தால் ஸானித்ய ஸேவைகூட
சுருதி விசாலம்புதியின் சுகமதில் முழுகிட
