The Lost Game

This is another site (Lost.eu) which I came across during the days when I had nothing much to do except come across new sites on the net. It is basically a site in which you create a log in on invitation. You are then assigned a unique link which you can use to invite your friends or any unwary stranger.

You get points for every person who joins through your invitation, for every person who joins through the invitation of a person who joined through your invitation and so on and so forth. The number of points that you get for every joining is of course dependant on how distant the person is from you (in number of invitations linking you both). You, thus create a tree of invitees originating from you. Your account becomes invalid if nobody joins your tree for 30 days straight. The 'clock' resets whenever any person joins your tree. The pay off is ... nothing. Except for seeing your name in the top 10 or top 50 list.

The site says that the game would continue till there are 7 million people involved in it...I think that is not going to happen. It has not even crossed half a million and I suppose it is almost three years since the game had started.
