Soundarya Lahari - Sloka 36 - To Cure all Diseases

Sanskrit Text :

तवाज्ञा चक्रस्थं तपन शशि कोटि द्युतिधरं
परम् शंभु वन्दे परिमिलित पार्श्व परिचिता
यमाराध्यान् भक्त्या रवि शशि शुचीनाम विषये
निरालोकेलोके निवसति हि भालोक भुवने

Transliteration :

tavAgnA cakrastham tapana shashi kOTi dyudhidharam
param shambhum vandE parimilita  pArshva parachitA
yamArAdhyAn bhaktyA ravi shashi sucInAma viShayE
nirAlOkElOkE nivasati hi bhAloka bhuvanE


Meaning :

The one who worships Parameshwara, Who has the luster of crores of moons and suns, and who lives in thine Agna chakra - the holy wheel of order, and is surrounded by thine two forms (Nirguna and Saguna forms) on both sides, [he/she] would forever live, in that world which is not lustrous due to the rays of sun, moon or fire, but which has its own luster, and which is beyond the sight of the eye, and is different from the world we see.

Pooja Vidhi and Proposed Result

If one chants this verse 1000 times a day for 45 days, offering adirasam, vada and payasam as prasadam, it is said that one would get cured of all diseases.

பகவதி அன்னபூரணி பரசித்தனால்
சூழ்ந்திடும் பரசம்புவை பூஜிக்க

சுகசக்ர ஆஞயில் தியானிக்கும் சாதகன்
சஹஸ்ர தளத்தினில் சிவ சக்ர ரூபத்தில்
சாயுஜ்ய பதவியால் ஏசுமதாகவே

சந்த்ராதித்தக்னி ஜோதி இல்லாமலே
புருமத்தியில் சக்ர சன்திரஜோத்ஸனையால்
இந்து பானு கோடி உதய பிரகாசத்தை
தரித்தே பராகார சித்துனாலே சூழ
சந்திரிகா நிலா லோக விசாலத்தில்
சந்ததம் சோமசுந்தர சந்ம்புவை
சமிஞயால் கண்டு தியானித்து சேவிகக்
