Are you familiar with the scenario.
Man sitting idle. Woman comes.
Woman : What are you thinking about?
Man : Nothing.
Woman : How can that be? Do not lie. Tell me the truth. What were you thinking?
Man (lying) : Well, I was thinking about ......
As a person related to electronics, my view is thus. Men and woman are not wired the same. Men have simple wiring like a transistor. AM/FM with few stations and mostly tuned to no station in particular.
Woman on the other hand have much more complicated wiring, like a plasma TV with set-top box with program recording facility. A lot of functions, never turned off and always tuned to a channel AND can recall any program that was played days, maybe months ago through the recording facility.
Probably thats why it is said that men are from Mars and women are from Venus. One is a cold and barren wasteland, where you can at least land. The other has a thick superheated atmosphere that burns you like a woman scorned. But, strangely neither is ideal, not even close to being livable. Only a compromise, a mid-way stop like earth is the solution to the existence problem.
Men are ambition-driven (not to say Women don't have ambition). Women are emotion-driven (not to say that Men don't feel emotion). They're just wired differently (Rightly said). Man must realize the "Female principle" (Prakriti Tattva) within HIM, and Woman the "Male" (Purusha Tattva). Neither is superior, per se. Women are the very 'Fabric' of our society and so they're thus, and Men need to strive to achieve the emotional heights so easily attained by women (Ex: Motherly love)
